Our lifestyle affects the skin. That's no secret. Most women – and increasingly many men – have daily skincare routines where the skin is cleansed, moisturized and cared for.
Your skin consists of three interconnected layers:
- The outermost layer is the epidermis, where new skin cells are formed
- The middle layer is the dermis, which consists of connective tissue
- The innermost layer is the hypodermis, which is a layer of fat
In the epidermis, cells produce lipids, among other things. The lipids settle between the cells and form a barrier, preventing water from the deeper layers of the skin from evaporating. This is called the skin's natural lipid barrier, and it is what prevents your skin from drying out. With age, the natural production of lipids between cells decreases, and as the fat layer in the hypodermis also decreases, the skin dries out more quickly and becomes both looser and more wrinkled.
In the dermis, two important natural fibers, collagen and elastin, are formed. Collagen's function is to strengthen and support your skin. Elastin's function is to make your skin elastic. However, from the age of 25, your skin does not produce collagen and elastin as quickly, and therefore the skin gradually loses some of its strength and elasticity.
This is most evident on skin that has been exposed to sun rays. UV rays also contribute to the breakdown of collagen and elastin. If you want to avoid more wrinkles than strictly necessary, you should therefore protect your skin with sunscreen when you are in the sun.
The dermis also contains sebaceous glands, which produce sebum, an oily substance. Sebaceous glands are mostly found on the scalp, face, chest, and shoulders, where sebum helps to lubricate the skin and hair. Sebaceous glands are not found on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Sebum helps to prevent the skin from drying out. With age, the production of sebum also decreases, and the skin therefore becomes drier more easily.
The first small signs of aging appear as fine lines around the eyes, and from your mid-20s to mid-30s, you can prevent them by providing your skin with plenty of moisture. Additionally, it is extremely important to cleanse the skin with Face Wash and Skin Tonic – both morning and evening – to remove make-up, dirt, and impurities, as this will benefit your skin later in life. Invest in a good moisturizing Face Serum, a protective Eye Serum, and a nourishing and moisturizing day cream.
Once again, we have ventured into the Nordic nature – nature's treasure trove – and found the best herbs, plants, and flowers to develop a new product.

The best of research, the best of nature
Inspired by Flora Danica, we have created an Anti-Age Night Cream Face, Neck & Décolleté with active ingredients that tighten and delay the skin's natural signs of aging, while also helping to reduce pigmentation spots.
Produced at our modern factory in Assens, inspired by Nordic nature. Our new anti-age cream utilizes the best of both worlds. We always delve deep into Flora Danica and take long walks in nature. Jim smells the forest floor, the many plants, flowers, and herbs... and that's where we know if we can create a unique product.
Our new 3-in-1 cream has age-preventing properties and contains, among other things...
-
... kale extracts, which have a nourishing effect,
-
rice oil, which regenerates the skin and combats signs of aging,
-
white truffle, which ensures that the skin does not lose its strength and maintains its natural moisture balance for up to 72 hours.

One of the places where we first experience signs of aging is the neck and décolleté area. Therefore, you should care for this area by moisturizing and nourishing it. You can do this with our new cream, which is a natural extension of our anti-age series... but beauty doesn't just come from the outside.
Beauty also comes from within
Beauty is a broad concept. For many, it's only about the external; how we look. For us, beauty is also internal. We believe that beauty comes both from within and without. Together with our dietary supplement, SKIN PERFECTION, you can care for your skin from the inside out.
SKIN PERFECTION contains Vitamin C, which contributes to the normal formation of collagen. This is important for normally functioning blood vessels. Additionally, Vitamin C also helps to protect cells from oxidative stress.
SKIN PERFECTION and Anti-Age Night Cream Face, Neck & Décolleté therefore complete our anti-age series.
Remember, your skin needs to last a lifetime. It's constantly changing. Therefore, you need to take good care of it. The best thing you can do is provide nourishment and moisture. Every day.
