Product development takes a long time when everything has to be developed from scratch, and you don't simply buy a quick "recipe" for a standard product, as many beauty brands do.

At Raunsborg, it takes about 1 year from when a new product is on the drawing board until it is
ready for launch on the shelf in your store. That may sound like a lot, but there are many things that need to come together before a product is finished.

Did you know, for example:
that our products are always tested by at least 100 test subjects before they can be launched? The test subjects evaluate the product and give it a rating. If the product does not score above 4 out of 5 possible points – where 1 is the lowest score and 5 is the highest – then it has "failed" and must return to the laboratory, which adjusts the formula before the product is sent for testing again.

The product is evaluated based on several parameters; effect, consistency, scent, how the product penetrates the skin, feels on the skin, and is compared to a similar product that the test subject already uses.
